Be sure to document damage and/or loss by taking photos before beginning the clean-up process.
USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Farm Service Agency (FSA) administer several disaster recovery programs that provide financial assistance to farmers and landowners. They can help:
- clean up debris
- replant crops and trees
- assist with damaged infrastructure (e.g., fencing) and
- implement other recovery activities.

The Emergency Forest Restoration Program (EFRP) helps the owners of non-industrial private forests restore forest health damaged by natural disasters. The EFRP does this by authorizing payments to owners of private forests to restore disaster damaged forests. Learn more here.

Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program
The Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan program provides short-term, zero-interest working capital loans that are intended to “bridge the gap” between the time a disaster impacts a business and when a business has secured longer term recovery funding such as federally or commercially available loans, insurance claims or other resources.
